HOW WE HELP TIGERS
The Magnetic Hill Zoo is one of several participating accredited zoos across North America which seeks to raise awareness about wild tigers and provides financial support for tiger conservation projects through Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Tiger Conservation Campaign.
The Magnetic Hill Zoo also financially supports Pathera's Tigers Forever program. Panthera is a worldwide big cat conservation organization. Their Tigers Forever program seeks to increase tiger populations by
- protecting tiger habitat and corridors,
- combating poaching,
- reducing human-tiger conflict in local communities, and
- monitoring tiger populations.
Barn Owl
Barn owls (Tyto alba) live nearly worldwide. This species’ population is of least concern.
